How to
Join SCALA
If you meet the criteria for membership in the Association
of Legal Administrators (ALA), you automatically meet the
criteria for membership in the South Carolina Chapter of the
Association of Legal Administrators (SCALA).
You must be a member of ALA
in order to be a member of SCALA. This following link
http://www.alanet.org/home.html will take you to the
home page of ALA’s website. At the top of the page you may
click on the Join ALA tab to see the benefits of
membership and how you may join ALA. The criteria for
membership are shown on the application form.
Once you become a member of
ALA, you become eligible to become a member of SCALA.
Annual dues are $60. An SCALA membership application can be
downloaded from the following link:

We would encourage and
welcome you to join our chapter. We usually meet about six
times a year, including at least one meeting in the Upstate
(Greenville) and one in the Low Country (Charleston) with
the balance of meetings held in Columbia. We have
outstanding speakers who present a number of very
interesting and relevant topics. The networking with fellow
administrators and the exchanging of ideas with each other
are valuable parts of what our organization is about.
